Combination of Automotive Supplier's Park and Automotive Engineering Center

The Automotive industry is one of the leading industrial branches of Germany with a highly developed innovation force. Increasing technological requirements, greater individualisation within the automotive industry, shorter product cyles, globalisation and stronger competition make innovations and co-operations essential for the automotive suppliers’ industry. Thus the idea was born to create a unique Center of excellence in collaboration with Invest in Bavaria, department of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology, to support the research and development projects of small and medium-sized automotive suppliers. First results for an industrial sites, focusing on automotive suppliers were presented. The Automotive Center Bavaria acts as an additional ‘ad-on’ and unique selling point. Supplier's Park and Automotive Center are forming an integrated whole. The Automotive Center Bavaria, nucleus of the Automotive Supplier's Park PolePosition, provides automotive suppliers with modern test facilities the possibility to test systems, components and innovations in terms of vehicle safety, operational durability and to conduct environmental simulations on-site. It enables suppliers to drive forward the technologica progress independently within the automotive industry. The Automotive Center Bavaria brings together industry and research institutions for R&D projects.
